All

I would welcome any suggestions/ideas of a recruitment strategy to recruit 150 people for a specific project in the coming months.  I do have experience of Open Days/Evenings etc but this is on a much bigger scale.

Any pointers would be welcome

ManyThanks

Hi,

We'd be more than happy to provide some advice around your strategy. As you rightly say, to recruit 150 people is a serious undertaking and I suggest that you talk to a recruitment communications agency such as ourselves to make sure your campaign is a success.

In the first instance, you should think about your target audience and their potential interest in your organisation. Based on this information and your budget for the project, we would be able to suggest an appropriate strategy.

A recruitment strategy for 150 people is serious undertaking.

You do not say what "fields" are covered for the recruitment program, which will be fairly critical in designing a strategy.

There are many job roles that are easy to fill but many more that are close to impossible.

Without the basic information around timescales, costs, salaries, competencies etc, you are probably only going to invite another rash of consultants to offer to create a strategy for you.

Perhaps if you expand on your role and what is required, others will be able to suggest ideas to help you.

Hi Bob,

I was part of an on site recruitment team to handled 300 vacancies that had been created due to an increase in projects in the engineering field. We were there for 6 months and made a significant difference. I was responsible for direct hires - so free websites, utilising the Job Centre, using Government Assistance Programmes, recruitment days etc and my colleague was in charge of the Agency side. We had a few administrators and a really good Project Manager who coordinated us and agreed KPI's with our Client.

So maybe outsourcing is your solution. If you do go down that route, make sure you have agreed timelines and fees upfront and ensure consistent and continuous communication.

Let me know if you need more info.

Martin
