Q How do I add myself to the Directory?
A Log in and click on the ‘add a consultancy’ button near the bottom of the main Directory listings. If you have previously attempted to create a profile, this will show ‘edit profile’.

   
Q How many categories/sub-categories can my profile appear in?
A There is no set limit, although we ask that people do not abuse this.

   
Q How do I add my profile to sub-categories from one category and sub-categories from another category?
A Select a category – after a few seconds, the sub-categories will be displayed. Click on the relevant sub-categories and click ‘add’. Once finished, select another category from the drop down list. Your added sub-categories will remain selected but you will be able to add other sub-categories.

   
Q I see I can submit a request for a new category. How likely is this to be accepted?
A We’ve tried to find a framework that would work well but there are always exceptions. We will assess each request and if other members agree, the change will be made.

   
Q What does ‘status’ mean in relation to the Directory?
A Consultants can choose to have their profile visible or hidden. We’ve made ‘hidden’ an option for anyone who is committed to a project but is continuing to be contacted by clients with project leads.

   
Q I’ve submitted my profile to the Directory but I can’t find it. Why?
A Once a profile has been submitted, it requires a moderator to approve it before it goes live. This is necessary to ensure that there is a sufficient amount of content and to ensure that the Directory is not abused.

   
Q How long does moderation take?
A Profiles will go live within 24 hours.

Q How do I add a new topic?
A Click on the name of the Forum that is relevant and click on ‘Add New Topic’.

Q How do I reply to a topic?
A There are 2 ways – either will work. You can either click on the ‘Add Reply’ button and Enter your response or to just put your response into the Quick Reply box.

Q Is it possible to be emailed whenever someone replies to one of my discussion threads?
A Yes. Simply check the 'subscribe' box when you start a thread. You will be sent an automated email whenever someone replies. If you decide that you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe by clicking on 'My Profile' in the forums section. Just click the 'X'.

Attaching a Permalink to your blog entry means that even when it’s no longer current, it

  can still be found. This is because Permalink is a unique URL.
 
 
Q What is Trackback?
A Trackback is a method that allows you to be notified whenever somebody creates a link back
  to your blog. As such, it allows you to keep track of who is referring you.
